CEP-Va’s CPST Help Page

Thank you for your interest in the new Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) Medicaid service. The transition from legacy services like intensive in-home, mental health skill building, and therapeutic day treatment to CPST represents an important and challenging initiative for Virginia’s providers. At the Center for Evidence-based Partnerships (CEP-Va), one of our missions is to support you in your work to bring quality services to Virginians. As a result, we are grateful for your willingness to be on the road to offering the CPST service. We believe that these service changes will be a net positive for Virginians and for Virginia’s excellent provider community. Your efforts during this time will help Virginia to do even better for its citizens.

This webpage will be a clearinghouse for information on the new service. There will be links to resources available from state agencies like the Department of Medical Assistance Services and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. There is also a link to a feedback survey that we at CEP-Va are collecting and sharing with the state agencies. Details about the CPST service are still emerging. We do appreciate your patience as we all await the final shape the service will take. The uncertainty is frustrating. Please know that an important goal for the implementation is that providers have information as quickly as possible to help you navigate the new service environment. As early implementers, we want to be sure you have an opportunity to share your voice with us and the state. Again, we thank you for your engagement!
